You will have to renew your license every two years at a cost of $100.

- Length of the program – Some programs are longer than others and require more time in order to complete. Make sure that you have a good idea of how much time you can devote to your course as this will make your decision easier.
- Course ware – Different programs will offer slightly different course ware. In this case it is important that you review the course ware of each college that you are interested in and choose only form those that will adequately prepare you for the examination.
- Clinical facilities and exposure – The school you choose must have good clinical faculties as you are required to complete a clinical side of your studies in order to qualify as an LPN.
- Reputation of the college – The reputation of the college can also play a role. If the college has a good reputation then your enrollment there is more likely to be successful.
- Financial aids offered by the school
